Director Merchandising Direct to Consumer (m/f)
Purpose
This role is responsible for executing the Brand and Commercial goals under guidance from Senior Management. Enable efficient assortment planning, across all categories, store formats and clusters for DTC channels. Assemble a mandatory range plan for the key concepts (LeRange, DTC Exclusives, ISC). Build and develop a global approach for store clustering, option planning, and space management. Coach, train and develop the Market Merchandising Team globally.
Accountabilities
• Work with Sr. Director in executing the global merchandising goals and ensure implementation by working with the BU's and markets.
• Enable efficient assortment planning, across all categories, store formats and clusters for DTC channels.
• Implement range and assortment planning strategy for LeRange, DTC and ISC globally (for the assigned area of responsibility).
• Build and develop a global approach for store clustering, option planning, and space management.
• Drive retail store format strategy with regards to ideal merchandise mix, density, priorities and product breadth/depth (involving main stakeholders).
• Support the enhancement of all merchandising systems and tools, working with the Business Solution Team to meet world class merchandising best practice.
• Drive the definition and regular analysis of competitor activity in the market.
• Steer the development of key merchandising reports and be responsible for the implementation in the markets.
• Review Open-To-Buy (OTB) of markets and highlight concerns to ensure the buy is based on historical full price sales and brand vision.
• Work with the Sr. Director to define the methodology of option and space management. Work with markets to implement the same.
• Work with Sr. Director to formulate proportionality framework and ensure execution of the same at market level.
• Train the merchants on conducting trend analysis and make sure feedback is collected and sent to BUs in a consistent way.
• Review best seller and worst sellers at market level and make recommendations to the markets where possible.
• Review in season stock cover and highlight concerns to the markets.
• Define framework working with Global Operations to come up with a process on in-season reactivity.
• Steer markets to make sure they have the correct end of season management to maximise clearance and minimise cost of reduction.
• Contribute to the development of a merchandising training program and implement the same at market level.
• Store visits as needed and advised by the business (expected ratio office/travel is 80%/20%).
• Other duties as requested by your manager.
• People Management:
◦ Work, Liaise and coordinate with Peers and CTC functions.
◦ Evaluate the competencies of his/her subordinates on a regular basis and provides prompt and feedback and guidance to drive high performance.
◦ Takes ownership for Talent Management processes to grow, develop and retain talents.

◦ Translate the company goals into team specific actions and business plans. Control and monitor performance and results.
Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office.
• Fluent in English.
• Additional language is an advantage.
• Advanced knowledge of Retail Management Systems.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Structured, organised and process orientated.
• Attention to detail as error in analysis will have crucial impact to business.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment and under pressure.
Qualifications
1. University degree in business, ideally with marketing and sales focus or equivalent professional experience.
2. Merchandising Experience: 10 - 12 years.
3. Management Experience: 5 - 7 years.
