A key lever to enable the future growth plans is operational excellence with Fulfillment management being one of the core components.
As a WE eCom Fulfillment intern, he/she supports the team by ensuring that the end to end physical parcel flow is complete and correct and that data and order transfer between the systems is running as expected. Additionally will also support the team with projects that enhance the delivery experience for the customer. This Internship gives a great opportunity to get an insight into the overall eCom process. He/she will be working closely with a variety of Managers across the eCom department in Amsterdam and will be able to learn from them and gain insight into their main tasks via meetings and briefings.
Internship at the adidas Group
The purpose of this internship is to provide the internship student with experience of the practical application of theoretical knowledge the internship student has already acquired at university and to acquire new skills and knowledge. This internship description contains tasks and responsibilities that will be learned step by step and the internship student will be accompanied by adidas employees at all times. adidas International/ Marketing /Trading B.V. will ensure that the internship student is given tasks and responsibilities according to the level of competence of the student and the educational objectives for the internship period. The internship student will sign an internship agreement, which is not an employment contract.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Help drive the operational activities related to fulfillment by closely monitoring the performance of the Central Distribution Centre (CDC), the carriers and the services that carriers provide
• Support projects in parcel management, utilizing consumer feedback and analytics data to help shape our requirements, define the roadmap and execute against them
• Improve operational processes together with other stakeholders like Customer Service and Knowledge Management to improve our service to the customers
• Be on top of business insights and industry trends and act as a key contributor in improvements and enhancements that serve the customer experience in the delivery service that adidas provides including the return process.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to be detail oriented and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing business processes and business partners
• Aptitude for learning new software applications
• Currently a Business or Marketing student at a university or other instance of higher education- Enrolled for the complete duration of the internship (6 months)
• Only applies to EU citizens due to working permit regulations
