Modcloth is on the hunt for a Senior Marketing Analyst. This is the perfect opportunity for a numerata/numeratus extraordinaire who’s thrilled to dive deep into the well of untapped data we have, use it for solving fun problems (i.e. What drives orders? What’s the value of acquiring Facebook fans?), and in doing so, have a tremendous impact on ModCloth’s future.
We are looking for someone to help us figure out the What and the Hows for determining the best way to capture the KPIs and report on them and visualize the data in easy to digest ways for business stakeholders, as well as go beyond that into the Why and develop recommendations. Responsibilities
• Deftly produce weekly/monthly/quarterly dashboards that track key marketing metrics and keep the larger organization up-to-date with marketing performance and trends.
• Create monthly channel reports and awe us with your insights that’ll help boost traffic, engagement and repeat behavior.
• Own/manage our marketing channel forecasting model; carefully calibrate forecast based on trends and business priorities and help develop marketing forecasts for 2016 and beyond.
• Facilitate cadenced reporting meetings that include a cross-functional team of marketers, finance strategies and C-level collaborators.
• Take complex data and visualize it into easy-to-understand, actionable reports to cross functional stakeholders.
• Model the impact of projected budget changes and help allocate funds efficiently across various marketing channels.
• Amp up the marketing team’s understanding of how various channels interact, ensuring they have a good grasp on channel attribution and value.
• Join forces with the analytics team to develop and maintain a deep understanding of our customer base.
• Impress the team with your Omniture Site Catalyst, Google Analytics, Tableau and other internal analytics experience, while advising on how to get the most out of their programs using data.
• Immerse yourself in key paths, site flows, and purchase funnel analysis to identify quick wins that will improve conversion.
• Perform ad hoc analyses and support on promotional forecasting, testing readouts, creative performance evaluations, etc.
Requirements
• 5-7 years of total experience.
• 3+ years of web analytics experience in a consumer-facing business (preferably retail and/or eCommerce).
• Excel guru/expert - you are an excel master and knows all the ins and outs of analytical tools like Tableau, Omniture, Google Analytics, or similar.
• A background with a marketing division/organization is a must.
• Familiar with forecasting and developing turn-key models.
• No stranger to developing dashboards and building business cases/ROI for key marketing projects; visualizing data.
• Experience in best practices of testing, optimization, and drivers of online conversion.
• Ridiculously good at problem-solving: knack for asking the right questions, building hypotheses, and proving or disproving hypotheses by tracking down the right nuggets of insights in data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills is a must.
• Experience and skill with Tableau, Google Analytics, and/or SQL is a plus.
• A retail and/or eCommerce background is also a plus.
