Responsibilities:
The Buyer is responsible for the buying process for a number of Licensee categories for kate spade new york Europe stores and ecommerce.
They will ensure business needs and trends for the European market are kept top of mind throughout the buying process, and assume responsibility for an effective assortment, working with the Buying Director and planning and allocation team on inventory for all European channels.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Buying accountability for selected ksny categories for the full price business in kate spade new york Europe stores and ecommerce
• Responsible for assortment planning and forecasting, aligning to overall Europe Buying strategy and ensuring congruency with Global marketing directives
• Drive and plan market buying strategy for specific categories, editing and assorting line while managing sku plan and meeting financial goals for the region
• Analyze weekly sales information; strategize key items, promos, and mark downs
• Partner with visual merchandising team to optimize product investments on sales floor • Collaborate with store team to refine knowledge of customer needs and recommend and drive market opportunities
• React to re-order and in-season opportunities and develop strong business relationship with Licensee, store-based and head office partners
Qualifications:
• Experience managing market buying in a fashion/accessories volume buying capacity role essential
• Start up experience and/or experience working from a satellite office preferred Critical thinker with a solution driven approach
• Assertive and able to work independently
• High level financial business acumen and technical buying skills
• Able to partake in all elements of planning, implementing, and analyzing a business
• Ability to time manage, multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment
• Flexible team player with excellent collaboration/communication skills
• High level of proficiency in word, excel
