The Director Global Fabric & Trim is responsible for overseeing the fabric and trim teams deliverables and performance to ensure divisions are being serviced appropriately and that we work to achieve the highest quality of the final product at the best value, to drive top line profitable sales for our business units.
Responsibilities:
• Own business relationships with various cross-functional team leaders to ensure their needs are identified and met by the team.
• Supervise fabric teams to ensure execution of development that deliver against Brand’s aesthetics & costing requirements.
• Tracking and metrics to publish successes & opportunities to Business partners and leadership accordingly.
• People management to drive careers and engagement throughout the department as well as integration with other silos of product development team.
• Command of the development cycle and related calendar timelines; keep the team focused, meeting all deadlines.
• Maintain all departmental budgets, and ensure profitability goals are met.
• Strong skill set in fabric technology; material manufacturing & capabilities.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
• Associates Degree and 15 years of experience in industry required or Bachelors degree with 10-12 years of experience in the industry preferred
• Management experience required
• Domestic and international travel required
• Excellent communication and presentation skills that can present and sell in to all levels of the organization & external customers, communicating a clear and inspiring vision.
• Analyze competitive landscape and user segmentation to develop a strong product roadmap.
• Collaborate with cross-functional peers to translate brand vision into strategies that achieve merchandising goals and gross margin plans.
• Influence team by providing positive leadership, creative problem solving and development to build bench strength and succession planning.
• Self-starter who brings a level of passion, enthusiasm, and focus to their day to day business.
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, flexible and can manage change.• Strong problem solving skills.
• Design calendar adherence.
• Ability to mentor, lead and collaborate with cross functional teams to achieve goals.
• Open minded, great listener and challenge status quo.
• Strong command of: Mac, Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, Microsoft Office.
