Travell Retail EMEA - Store Design Manager (Maternity cover)
Description
Travel Retail EMEA wish to recruit for a Store Design Manager to cover a period of maternity leave. The role is responsible for Store Design across all brands within Europe Middle East and Africa Region (EMEA).
This role reports directly to the Regional Director of Store Design and Visual Merchandising and works closely with the Regional Sales Directors for the brands, their Sales Team as well as the Regional Marketing Managers. This person must have the ability to lead a team designers corporately, and balance multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
This role includes creation of work plans and budgets, management of timelines and milestones, and building a culture of accountability for him/herself and the team. This individual will also be responsible to travel through Europe, Middle East and Africa for 30% of the time.
The role includes project management of all account requirements from a store design perspective covering the permanent sites at airports and doors. This involves developing designs for complete and complex multi branded corporate stores, brand structures and special design projects. Liaise with brand store design directors in New York, on all design and construction packages. Assure drawings and designs are in accordance with company/branded production and design standards, as well as Airport compliant. Maintain brand image in accordance with the New York Office specifications. Participate in site surveys, furniture inspections, store walk-throughs and store openings.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
• Be a strategic thinker who understands how to execute projects and can lead design processes: Concept development, design development, production and installation
• Have a related degree qualification or equivalent experience.
• Have a proven track record in (timely and within budget) project management
• Preferably have sound experience of the Travel Retailing environment
• Have excellent communication and people management track record in order to establish and maintain an effective network of contractors in the whole region of EMEA.
• Have good technical skills in AutoCAD, Vector Works, Adobe, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and GS Project Pro (Project Management software)
