The Senior Manager of Marketing Operations directs the development and implementation of processes, tools, metrics, initiatives, infrastructure and technology, that will support and improve the operations of the Marketing function and positively impact Marketing team contribution to the business.
• Responsible for staying tuned to the culture, process, structure and people of Marketing
• Drives organizational and operational effectiveness; identifying gaps and defining roadmaps for improvement
• Establishes and maintains scalable processes that ensure best practices in campaign and strategy management
• Evaluates new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize marketing team performance
• Responsible for:
◦ Development of Marketing planning calendars and milestones
◦ Print and digital production, ensuring optimized cost savings and exceptional service standards.
◦ Creative traffic process and management of all marketing collateral from inception to the customer
◦ Relationships with our creative agencies and production partners.
◦ Project Management of Marketing initiatives
• Works closely with the CMO to ensure marketing is strategically aligned with other key DSW Business functions (e.g. Buying, MP&A, eCommerce, etc), liaises through connecting, communicating and establishing a knowledge base of information to share with the Marketing leadership
• Accelerates change through the marketing organization by applying change management concepts and methods to implement organizational strategies in order to meet business objectives
• Ensures information flow to and from the executive office as applicable, through presentation, documentation, etc.
• Facilitates the Marketing leadership team in meetings and discussions, ensuring the groups are working on the right things, in the right amounts, at the right times
• Operates seasonal hindsighting and tracking against insights in strategic future planning
• Leads and develops a high performing team
Requirements:
• BA/BS or MBA preferred with 12+ years of directly related experience
• Proven leadership, experience managing small teams and distributed teams.
• Superior organization skills.
• Previous Project Management experience - ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
• Technically capable, excellent communicator and a desire to improve processes.
