Responsibilities:
The Lucky Brand Internship is a 10-week paid program offering a unique opportunity to high-potential college Juniors and Seniors who are interested in a career in fashion.
As a Retail Operations Intern-Communications, you will be the key communicator of the Lucky Brand message to all of our retail environments. You will help to organize and coordinate internal information and materials for all Store communications and projects, you will assist in managing operations projects to ensure clear message and execution strategy is communicated, you will help to partner with other operational departments to represent retail specific needs, and you will follow through to push improvements.
Throughout your internship you will be mentored by an employee who is associate level or above in order to ensure a quality level of learning for you as well as provide supervisory experience for our Associates.
Throughout the ten-week program you will work side by side with Managers on both short and long term projects that tie back to the larger strategic goals of Lucky Brand and the Department. By working directly with your team on projects you will begin to build practical, technical, and leadership competencies. The curriculum includes a weekly guest speaker series that provides you the chance to learn how our business and the departmental relationships function and allows you to network with top-level management and executives. At the culmination of the summer, you will have the opportunity to present your summer-long project to the executive team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Assist in the creation and launch of DM Updates and Rivets on a weekly basis
• Assist in gathering all necessary details to send out to LuckyLine and LuckyOne (our website and phone communication portals for Corporate to Retail)
• Assist with other updates and maintaining of company initiative as needed
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
• How Communication flows to field from end to end
• Cross-functional relationship skills
• Overall knowledge of retail environment from a field & HQ perspective
• Knowledge of how field & HQ need to work together to achieve desired results
Qualifications:
• Must be a junior or senior and currently enrolled in an accredited college/university
• Prior retail or apparel industry experience
• Must be studying a major related to Communications or Business Communications
• Understanding of the Lucky Brand aesthetic and an enthusiastic willingness to learn
• Microsoft Office Programs
• Detail oriented
• Team player; ability to work with all business divisions in a proactive manner
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
