Senior Manager Marketing Operations - Samples
Purpose
Manage strategic projects, create, and maintain processes and systems that enable operating efficiencies and improve top/bottom line performance.
Manage the samples team who supports the Sales and Marketing Organizations in strategic planning and execution of samples inventory and delivery. The focus of this team is to work with all necessary business partners to accurately execute the samples strategy.
Key Accountabilities
• Own improvements to sell-in process and systems; delivering cutting edge system/tools covering visual and quantitative assortment planning, sell-in presentation with links to order entry
• Identify further sales processes and sales force systems and application needs, build business cases, and propose/deliver solutions with a cross functional team
• Lead and manage the samples team to achieve inventory, top and bottom line objectives
• Manage process improvements with US Samples team to ensure timely arrival of samples to sales team to drive sell-in process, this includes challenging global timelines and clear communication to sales force with status updates
• Design sales & marketing process and systems training for commercial personnel and deploy in most efficient and effective manner
• Provides leadership and coach for team members through sharing of best practice techniques and mentoring
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
• Excellent knowledge of go-to-market processes and systems
• Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex data and develop creative and innovative solutions within an entrepreneurial environment
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior executives, stakeholders, cross function business leaders, peers and customers
• Understanding in fundamental database design and development, ability to gather data from multiple sources and manipulate the data to develop demand-driven and action based reporting and analysis
• Project management expertise including work planning, resource identification, aligning key cross-functional stakeholders to findings, implementation to sustained results
• Proven leader and developer of people
Qualifications
1. Four year degree preferably in business, operations or related field
2. MBA preferred
3. Five to seven years’ experience in sales, marketing operations, systems support, or combination with progressive responsibility
4. Industry specific experience strongly preferred
5. Familiarity with SAP and other relevant adidas and industry systems/analytical software a major plus
6. Advanced MS Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills required
