The primary responsibility of the Production Artist is to support the commercialization of designs by creating illustration tools that help cross functional teams build, assort and visualize product offerings. The Production Artist should be comfortable working with and supporting multiple functional areas including design, merchandising and development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement image management systems (Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) to streamline and optimize file size and transfers.
• Develop and maintain category visual tools for key meetings (color palette, inspiration boards, PowerPoint presentations, templates, etc.).
• Manage all documents to support the commercialization of apparel, including seasonal marketing/sales collateral (workbook and website images).
• Assist designers and product line managers to build and maintain apparel illustrations.
• Support design team with applying color to apparel illustrations; color calibrate seasonal palette.
• Communicate progress/plans with Apparel and Graphic designers, Product Line Managers, and Product Developers.
• Execute and manage color pitches for allover prints, patterns, and graphic schematics.
• Review product/project status, approval requirements, and production deadlines with cross-functional partners.
• Enter all design deliverables into Enovia.
• Ensuring production deadlines are met relating to the seasonal calendar.
Skills and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3+ years of related professional experience.
• 2+ years working with illustration, design, multimedia and page-layout software on a Mac. Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Experience with graphic art, illustration, photo editing, web design, color design, or animation.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and manage multiple competing work priorities.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Experience communicating messages and ideas with images instead of words.
• Strong time management skills. General ability to exercise good judgment in setting priorities and follow-through to deliver on commitments.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work well with multiple business partners.
• Accuracy, and results oriented: good attention to details and deadlines.
• Great with following up with others and follow through on projects.
• Ability to independently seek information and trouble shoot. Ask questions for understanding and clarification.
• Apparel and high-volume production experience is preferred.
• Team-oriented and positive attitude is required.
