Vice President, Men's Sales

Purpose and Scope:
Direct sales and lead account management for Chaps - Men’s. Develop strategies and manage the business by account to deliver sales and profit expectations to Ralph Lauren and meet retail customer’s performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead team to achieve internal and external sales and profit objectives
• Develop business strategies by account providing clear direction and objectives to Sales team
• Partner with Planning in building financial plans
• Develop and communicate capital plans
• Partner with President on maintaining financial profitability by account.
• Manage and develop Sales team leading them to achieve internal and external sales and profit objectives. Lead, mentor and support the Sales team to achieve professional goals
• Build on existing relationships with retail customers. Interact with GMM / DMM to ensure optimum brand positioning and execution of key strategies
• Partner and interface with all Chaps product categories to ensure brand consistency, identify new opportunities or retail customers and understand brand strategies and shifts in the business.
• Partner with Marketing to manage marketing plans by account
• Manage expense budget
• Be an expert of the competitive landscape and communicate needs to ensure competitive assortments and pricing
• Direct merchandise presentation on selling floors, partnering with Merchandising and retail customers on execution. To include shops, visual enhancements, adjacencies, brand specialists
Requirements:
◦ 10+ years wholesale experience. Department store experience essential.
◦ Relationship experience at GMM and DMM level within department stores.
◦ Strong negotiating, communication, leadership and teamwork skills.
◦ Strong analytical skills and high level of expertise in managing assortments, margins, mark up, sell throughs.
◦ Knowledge of competitive landscape and brands
◦ Strong understanding of brand positioning.
◦ Willing to travel
◦ Strong computer skills: Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook
