Job Definition (Key Purpose of the Job):
This role will be responsible for identifying opportunities and gaps in driving ecommerce growth across markets in APAC, sharing best practices, introducing new capabilities, tools and processes, facilitate implementation, and gain senior leader buy-in that all result in accelerated ecom growth. This role will also be responsible for managing the HK Ecom business directly.
Key Responsibilities for Regional
• Defines and implements E business strategies to achieve brand goal.
• Provides management oversight and direction to the brand’s ecommerce development.
• Manage and evaluate e-commerce vendors to optimize business performance.
• Constantly evaluate the brand’s market position vs competitors online and act proactively to be one step ahead; drive the implementation of best practices experiences.
• Identify and recommend countries Ecom structure to effectively deliver key strategies & plans
• Provide insight for creating first class consumer experience and drive digital conversion/revenues.
• Determine pricing & promotion strategy
• Partner with supply chain team on inventory forecasting, planning and lifecycle management.
• Supporting the assortment plan development and in-season management / open to buy process
• Work closely with internal functional teams (Marketing, Merchandising, MP&A, Buying, and Supply Chain) and work with them to reach sales target
Key Responsibilities for Hong Kong
• Directly run Hong Kong Ecom site and oversee third party Ecom sites including Zalora.com with full P&L responsibility.
• Develop marketing tactics to drive traffic & sales at e-commerce sites including promotional campaign development.
• Work closely with marketing team to develop and execute a CRM program for Timberland owned-site. Duties include KPI management, customer analysis and CRM-driven segmentation marketing (e.g., focused efforts against loyal consumers).
• Work closely with HK Retail team to develop and execute the “O2O” strategy, driving linkage and synergy between the online and offline business especially with the direct owned and operated Timberland Stores and Timberland Outlets.
• Partner with Merchandising Planning and Allocation team to ensure proper merchandising of the store, including inventory management.
• Write and optimize webstores and 3rd party platforms’ product descriptions and promotion messages to increase conversions.
Experience
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned manager with experience of a higher level eCommerce role in either an e-tailer or apparel / consumer goods company.
He/she will bring a broad base of functional and operational skills, but will specialize in eCommerce operations, consumer/shopping experience, online merchandising and project management experience.
He/she will have demonstrated an ability to deliver on a strategy for a business in rapid-growth or transformation mode. They will have a high degree of commercial acumen and will bring a results and ROI focused approach to decision making.
Qualifications:
• Ability to assess new markets, analyse business opportunities and execute against them.
• Highly self-motivated and self-sufficient.
• Creative and out-of-the-box thinker.
• Deep understanding of digital technologies and the intersection of social, mobile, tablets and commerce, especially in China.
• Have a proven track record of successful digital/ecomm development with extensive in-market experience.
• Proven ability to set and deliver on a strategy for a business in rapid-growth or transformation mode
• High degree of commercial acumen and will bring a results and ROI focused approach to decision making
