Overview
The Senior Director – Creative Visual Merchandising NA will work with the VP of the Creative Visual Merchandising department and relevant business partners in Merchandising, Marketing and Retail to define and evolve the ongoing CVM strategy. This individual will lead and manage the Northern America CVM Production, Visual Merchandising and Finance teams to deliver the department objectives and global roll out CVM collateral. He/She will partner with the regional CVM leaders to manage effective communication and support the CVM execution across all regions.
Responsibilities
Initiatives to Drive Domestic Sales
• Demonstrate strong business acumen to help drive sales through Creative Visual Merchandising
• Analyze business trends to make appropriate changes in presentation and assortment in partnership with Senior Director CMV, Market Merchandise Manager and market leadership
Functional Initiatives
• Execute CVM campaign installations and merchandising initiatives as well elevating in-store presentation to help drive sales results.
• Manage and install all CVM campaigns and holiday installations
• Partner with the Market Merchandise Manager in the successful implementation and in-store execution of the regionally defined product strategy
• Oversee and assess standards and executional excellence within the market
• Elevate CVM through communication and training, identifying opportunities within the market as well as developing and executing a corresponding action plan
Talent
• Coach, develop and motivate Senior Specialist and CVM partners
• Motivate Senior Specialist and partners through leading by example, effective coaching, empowering and holding self and others accountable
Qualifications
• 15+ years management and leadership experience in merchandising, visual display, styling, events or related areas - preferably luxury retail
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to successfully communicate to a varied audience in both written and spoken form
• Experience creating presentations with analytical rigor
• Ability to present ideas and information in a group situation
• Demonstrate the ability to influence without authority
• Ability to travel globally
• Strong management skills and an ability to partner closely with regional markets and various departments
• Strong business acumen
• Exceptional organizational, communication and negotiation skills
• Ambitious, enthusiastic and flexible
• Innovative thinker
• Ability to work with a variety of personalities
• Basic computer skills required: email/Outlook, Microsoft Excel & Word
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in creative industry
• Comfortable in and appreciative of a luxury retail setting
• Basic knowledge of jewelry and jewelry display a plus
