Under the direction of the DE Content & Engagement Lead and in collaboration with the the wider content & social team, you will create and manage the content output for Germany supporting the overall content & engagement strategy; working across multiple channels (social, CRM, site, partners) to ensure it is effective, on brand and measured – taking into consideration customer insight, optimisation, testing and quality assurance.
Working closely with the Social Media Manager you will effectively manage, localize and create engaging and relevant multi-channel campaigns that support local customer moments and the overall strategy whilst supporting the retail proposition and ultimately purchase of product. You will deliver insight-led local campaigns and adapt global campaigns to make these appropriate and relevant for the local MW and WW customer and a true reflection of the ASOS brand.
You will play a vital part in developing ASOS’ fashion profile and credibility in the local market.
What you'll be doing...
• Brief, concept and manage the implementation of long and short lead bespoke content and campaigns at key customer moments across all channels
• Localize global content specifically for the German market across all platforms
• Manage the DE content plan
• Support marketing & PR activities: concept, write copy, sub, feedback/amend
• Support the commercial strategy by creating editorial concepts for client briefs, as well as commissioning content when required
• Quality manage local content: Ensure content accuracy and TOV, test, sense- and spell-check content and links, proof-read content from external suppliers and contributors, play an active role in monitoring the translation quality on the website and liaise with ASOS 3rd party translation suppliers when required
• Ensure all DE communication is on brand, relevant and authentic and that ASOS.de is a genuine fashion destination and true reflection of the ASOS brand personality
• Continuously develop the editorial position and voice for ASOS.de; work with local content team to guard the brand voice on every platform
• Feed into the weekly and monthly reporting, tracking and measuring of content performance, and use the lessons to inform future content planning and creation, based on relevant KPIs; help to champion a culture of optimisation
• Work with the SEO team to ensure that all content is optimised for search; keeping up with regular developments and updates
• Ensure all editorial and social ideas support the broader business strategy and collaborate with design, buying and merchandising teams to effectively convert retail and trading messages into customer relevant, fashion credible campaigns
• Utilise existing, and develop new relationships, with freelance writers to commission bespoke content for your territory, that will inspire our audience and raise our fashion profile
• Provide writing and editing support for ad hoc copy requests, e.g. from PR, social media, customer care
• Ensure the publishing schedule is delivered within budget
• When applicable manage any junior writers, guide them with regular reviews and set yearly objectives. Provide daily support and guidance to improve their writing skills
• Contribute to a culture within the editorial team that is positive, professional and always ambitious for the department and the brand
We'd like to meet...
• Experienced and published editor/creator of online content for the fashion forward 16-34 audience
• Passion for digital content and an instinct for creating content with a multi channel approach including social media channels; passion and understanding of social media
• Experience and skills in self-subbing and search optimisation of copy
• Strong copywriting skills – the ability to convey a message in short snappy headlines and sells
• Experience in concepting and creating multimedia content: from pictures and videos, through to long articles and snappy tweets
• Photoshop skills are a plus
• Knowledge of CMS and digital publishing
• Great organisational, administrative and communication skills, ability to co ordinate multiple projects across different channels and work to tight deadlines; ability to prioritise and be calm under pressure
• Ability to understand performance, measurement and optimisation: An organised and analytical mind, looking to continuously improve the quality and performance of our content
