‘Alternative Programming’ Associate Producer assists senior supervising producer in all aspects of production for segments for the live show, events, digital and social platforms- both in studio and on remotes.
The team also integrates social media content to live TV output and works to drive sales and promote HSN on multiple platforms. Candidate must be a team player able to multi-task and both generate ideas and manage logistics
Day in the Life
• Assist Senior Supervising Producer with all aspects of production including but not limited to live TV shows, events and online/social media content (may require travel and/or out of hours work)
• Generate and pitch ideas on a daily basis- including but not limited to compelling, engaging content for social media integration to live TV output
• Be able to script conversationally for TV (live and VO) and copy (for social media, metadata, graphics)
• Logistics: Book studio space & crew & request GFX and supervise any edits
• Talent: Book, brief and manage hosts and top tier guests
• Work with set stylists/ TV live show production team and/or remote crew/post-production
• ‘Line produce’ as needed (from shooting on phone to floor producing)
• Concept & produce content and post to social channels as needed to drive sales for HSN and promote network initiatives

Must Haves
• 1 year experience in live television
• 1 year experience professionally using social media integration to drive business strategy and customer engagement (ideally supporting TV output)
• Proficient with professional use of social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest and how they can best be deployed in different scenarios
• Comfortable in very fast-paced, deadline- driven work environment in field where change is constant
• Have an excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of video production/graphic design a plus
• Valid Florida Driver’s License
• Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for long periods
• Schedule: Primarily schedule M-F with regular business hours. May occasionally be required to work nontraditional hours such as weekends and nights. Must be willing to work outside of typical business hours and travel as needed
Candidates will be considered in totality of their skills and experience versus strict interpretation of “must haves”.

• Degree in TV Production or related field
• 2+ years experience in live television
