Site Reliability Engineer, Consumer Digital Technology needed for NIKE, Inc., located in Beaverton, OR. Will analyze full stack application support technology to ensure site health and performance metrics that continuously drive reliability and consumer experience improvements in Beaverton, OR. Will work across teams to identify and troubleshoot incidents within the application stack (consumer and non-consumer facing). Will identify, evaluate, and execute preventative measures to minimize and avoid impact to the consumer experience. Will provide support during product launches and releases, prepare application stack reports for management, identify risks and solutions, and make recommendations for continuous improvements. Will work with Java, ServiceNow, Splunk, New Relic, Science Logic, Cloud computing, VMs, Linux, and Amazon AWS technologies, including EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, Cloud Front/Cloud Watch, Route53, and SNS/SQS. Will also use ITIL or Lean to lead application reliability practices for consumer facing web and mobile experiences. Will develop and drive real time monitoring solutions that provide visibility into site health and key performance indicators. Will manage IT service issues, including incident, problem, change, and knowledge management. Will work with Agile methodologies in a DevOps model to provide operational support to individual delivery teams. Will engage in performance engineering. Will use automation tools. Will report high value metrics to leadership.
Qualifications
Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering and 5 years of overall progressive experience in e-commerce software applications, which includes 5 years of experience in the following skill sets: (1) managing and leading application reliability practices for consumer facing web and mobile experiences, (2) working across teams to continuously analyze system performance in production, troubleshoot consumer reported issues, and identify areas in need of optimization, (3) develop and drive real time monitoring solutions that provide visibility into site health and key performance indicators, (4) IT service management, including incident, problem, change, and knowledge management, (5) Agile, (6) Java, (7) Splunk, (8) New Relic, (9) cloud computing / Amazon AWS, and (10) Linux.
