Position Summary:
Develop and direct industry leading creative solutions for concepts and categories, to create a highly relevant, desirable and clear adidas Golf brand image, from sell-in to sell-through (consumer facing).
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the creative development for multiple projects and/or campaigns across multiple consumer touch-points
• Develop concepts and creative strategies that fulfill objectives of the brand briefs
• Design and Production of adidas Golf print and digital materials (i.e.: point-of-sale graphics, catalogs and collateral; sales support materials, sales launch event support materials and graphics; corporate environment and special event graphics; social media, digital and email marketing content)
• Works with Producer to deliver finished production files from documented creative working briefs
• Responsible for all final design, file archive infrastructure management and image asset management
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure consumer, retail and brand focus
• Set design team priorities and assignments
• Lead the execution of creative strategies
• Direct a variety of creative resources (agencies, freelancers, writers, photographers, video editors, etc.) on creative execution
• Lead, mentor and administrate a team of internal direct reports (designers, copy-writers, video editors, etc.)
• Review and approve all stages of creative development and execution
• Advocate and support brand design direction and guidelines at every level of the organization.
• Present and communicate objective creative solutions with clarity, effectively selling in ideas to variety of upper management stakeholders
• Performs other responsibilities as required
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
• Reliable communicator with vendors, Global Design Producers and Global Design Management
• Ability to learn and grow in a fast-paced, multi-tasking global working environment
• Ability and awareness of need to learn team skills and corporate protocol; balanced attitude and work ethic to help support team cohesion and group work / creative dynamics
• Seeks out competitive challenges to demonstrate willingness to grow professionally
• Looking to exceed expectations to manifest desire to grow within the Company
• Good organizational skills, good attention to detail, able to meet all deadlines without fail
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:
• 8 - 10 years of Graphic Design/Industry experience
• 3 years personnel management experience
• Technically sound in all industry standard design software applications (i.e. Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
• Strong visual and verbal skills with the ability to create impactful/exciting visuals
• Proven experience with the design process (project scope and time planning, design steps, production/execution of design solution)
• Passion for adidas, sports and design
• Clear passion and personal involvement in Golf, whether as a fan or as a player, and deep knowledge of the Golf consumer
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
• Office environment, heavy computer use
• Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
• Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.
• Must be able to work extended hours as needed.
• Some travel required, both domestic and international.
