Your work as the Director Retail Brand Operations will be critical to bringing to life product, environment and innovation storytelling to create premium retail experiences. The Director will serve on the leadership team responsible for the integrated marketplace across our own Nike Stores to all of our key retail partners in the US and Canada. General Summary:
The Director Retail Brand Operations plays a critical role in leading the integration of the Brand offense within the Geo.
In this role, you will direct the Retail Brand Operations team that will implement the Game Plan and further develop vendor networks, systems, processes, tools and capabilities that facilitate our ability to serve the consumer. Integrating with and across Category seasonal initiatives at retail as well as stewarding mature retail concepts in the marketplace.
You will direct the team responsible for project budgets, timelines, workstreams, and quality while ensuring retail executions and Brand activations deliver effectively on Brand briefs.
The Director Retail Brand Operations will work closely with external agencies and vendors to accelerate the Brand offense in accordance with the broader Brand Strategy.
You will collaborate with Category Leaders, Account and Retail Brand Directors, as well as DTC teams to develop strategies for your teams to execute retail activations and programs that bring the Brand vision to life.
The Director Retail Brand Operations will be present overall project updates to the leadership team, ensuring consistent knowledge of project, account, and activation status.
Key Accountabilities:
• Manages team and sets team and individual goals that align with department and function goals. Coaches staff, creates opportunities for staff development, makes hiring decisions, drives performance management, recognition and rewards. Develops team structure that facilitates and maximizes individual and team performance.
• Drive clear and efficient process for enhancement or creation of additional assets for marketplace execution
• Make changes to processes, procedures to find efficiencies as needed
• Lead the team in financial savings and critical timelines through project, budget and vendor management excellence
• Determine best practices or courses of action and facilitate implementation.
• Develop and drive strategic retail brand planning activities to accelerate brand and business growth in order to meet retail brand goals and objectives
• Prepare for and present key presentations to audiences-including team members, senior management, board of directors, etc.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree or demonstrable equivalent work experience
• 8 years’ experience in production project management, leading project teams
• Ability to read and comprehend construction drawing sets and possess expansive knowledge of materials and fabrication methods (highly preferred)
• Must be able to read, interpret, and respond to multi-day Run of Show plans for Brand activations
• Knowledge of retail environments, fixture/POP functionality, visual merchandising and store design
• Experience managing multiple vendors, employing procurement best practices
• Ability to provide effective inspiration, coaching, guidance and direction to internal and external team members to achieve project goals
• Experience and proficency in creating and managing budgets and work back schedules
• Ability to travel up to 25%
