REEF - VP Sales
In this role, you will provide leadership and vision to drive product sales by planning and directing the activities of the Company's U.S. wholesale sales and International team business to attain maximum sales volume and profitability. Your dynamic, visible and inspirational leadership will positively impact business initiatives, direction, upholding distribution channel integrity, and provide vision for team. You are accountable for business results, profit & loss and executing key initiatives. You must bring a track record in managing a successful business and proven experience in strategic sales and business planning.
How You Will Move the Needle:
• Overall responsibility for profitable US, Asia Pacific and Central America sales growth of the brand.
• Manages all aspects of business relationships maintaining pro-active and positive customer relations and ascertaining that a world-class level of customer and product service is provided.
• Responsible for analyzing current business and forecasting future growth as well as providing product and sales input to direct future product development.
• Provides leadership and develops human capital; mentors staff to build a strong bench and build effective succession planning.
• Manages preseason sales plan and implements (season objectives, sales meeting, major account appointments, major account negotiations).
• Manages preseason order book (monitor and review territory and division plans, discount percent management. Monitors shipment of seasonal order book, specifically preseason, bulk, reorder and close-out order types.
• Oversees vendor compliance, documentation and negotiation for accounts and territories. Establishes and maintains contact with existing potential customers and actively participate in selling effort to support key accounts and high-level sales (tops to tops).
Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 10+
Educational/ Position Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years of sales management experience to include multiple lines and multiple trade channels.
• Experience in budgeting and managing P&L responsibilities.
• Ability to influence key decision makers internally and externally.
• Experience working with product and merchandising teams.
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or equivalent.
Skills:
• Demonstrates ability to build business partnerships
• Must have a track record in establishing procedures, implementing key sales initiatives, and executing processes.
• Computer proficiency including specific job-required applications
• Follows through with all tasks, assignments and job duties in a timely manner
• Ability to lead, coach and develop staff to improve performance and achieve professional goals
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees and others with whom the company conducts business
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, procedures and other business practices, guidelines and documents
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
• Requires domestic and international travel (up to 50%)
