Description
Key responsibilities:
• Responsible for communicating strategy to his department/ team and translating it into operational and tactic plans, approved by the production manager.
• Capable of forecasting challenges in the operational area as well as coming up with liable solutions, by planning actions at short and medium term
• Account for career development, performance management and training, based on the institutional structures settled.
• Handling and solving any issues spotted by the supervisor as well as setting in motion specific guidance/ action plans.
• Gives direct support in specific cases/ issues that demand more professional background experience.
• Managing and controlling the product flow and digital content in the Photo Editing department.
• Follows up on productivity/ quality key reports related to the established metrics and identifies potential improvements. Looks for solutions defined by high risk areas and leads strategic operating plans.
• Helps defining Budget according to the Production Manager’s criteria.
• Analyzes and manages the available budget for supplies and submits all buys to the production manager’s approval.
• Defines and meets the deadline for all his/ hers direct reports PDP, within the company’s/ local management guidance.
• Receives guidelines for managing vacations and shift plans established by the production manager, and puts them into practice within the defined deadlines by the company.
• Monitors and sends over all extra hours and employee absenteeism to the People Team department.
• Interviews candidates with the People Team support in order to attend the forecasted needs or any other extra needs reported by the Production Manager.
• Communicates with the other departments/ teams by exchanging critical information on the areas/activities or management procedures.
• Inspires and positively drives the team as an example to be followed.
• Promotes a continuous improvement culture in his course of action.
Skills:
• Good knowledge and passion for Photography and Photo Editing
• Passion for fashion industry
• Regular user of IT systems (MS Office) and photo editing/management (Adobe Bridge, Lightroom, Photoshop)
• Experience of working in a consumer focused environment
• Previous team leader / people management experience
• Work and promote the team work
• Orientation towards detail
• Fluency both written and verbal in English mandatory
• Have a Commercial spirit
• Knowledge about Kaizen methodologies
• Excellent sense of prioritization and timing
• Good Communication skills and Problem Solving
• Must be well organized and proactive
• High School level or higher
Preferable Skills
• 3 years of experience within a fast-paced production environment
• Prior experience of working with editors and photographers
• Proven ability to work with large schedules and interpret forecasts
• Proven record of managing multiple projects within budget and time constraints
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Portuguese and English) and team motivation skills
