JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Senior Ecommerce Channel Manager will have ownership and accountability for strategy, sales, revenue and profitability on the owned and operated Ecommerce business as well as the external wholesale online channel for Canada. The incumbent will work with the LSA E-Commerce team (global), Canadian leadership team and cross-functional departments to drive site design and functionality to enhance the consumer online experience and to execute commercial strategies to meet business objectives. Responsibilities will include content management, merchandising and day to day execution of “running the website” and the online external wholesale business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Analyze consumer needs, and competitive offerings to create strategy and provide direction on best practices and emerging trends in relation to Ecommerce capabilities
• Create and own the business case for ecommerce initiatives and advocate for these initiatives to be incorporated into the global product roadmap
• Create strategies and initiatives around driving traffic to site, and increasing conversion rates and average order size
• Responsible for management of Ecommerce vendors, including 3 PL. Manages workflows and looks for process efficiencies
• Develop, maintain and communicate site update schedules and processes.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work in partnership with Marketing on all electronic marketing efforts: electronic direct mail, banner ads, PPC, SEO, Social Media
• Coordinate site launches and/or traffic-driving events with appropriate partners.
• Manage the timely deployment of all e-marketing and merchandising campaign content on the web site
• Responsible for managing Ecommerce projects and budgets to ensure timeliness and on-budget delivery
• Owns P&L and sales plan, working closely with Managing Director, LSA Ecommerce Leadership
• Participate in testing of product, content, campaign and promotion updates to the web site
• Ensure consistent branding, image and content delivery across the website and maintain accuracy of product descriptions and pricing
• Maximize site performance and enhance the consumer online shopping experience by leading the planning, scheduling, deployment, execution, and maintenance of all site content
• Manage and report on all aspects of Web analytics including preparation and distribution of website performance reports as required.
• Work independently to develop creative solutions to challenges.
• Ownership of the successful ongoing operation, presence, and effectiveness of the website while enhancing the customer’s shopping experience
• Effectively manage and develop cross-functional department and matrix staff, providing for coaching and professional development opportunities as appropriate and as it pertains to online ecommerce
• Maintain a positive attitude and make a valuable contribution towards maintaining LSC culture of passion, innovation and sustainability
• Other duties and/or special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years of experience managing Ecommerce sites and a Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing/Communications; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Ecommerce platform and content management tools
• Retail industry experience an asset
• High level of attention to details, accuracy and ability to multi-task as well as manage their own priorities and deadlines
• Ability to communicate clearly (verbal & written) across all levels of the organization
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to make presentations to diverse audiences at all levels of organization
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to devise strategies and translate strategic objectives into tactical plans
• Understanding of site design principles, functionality, integrations with back end systems and best practices
• Analytical thinker with data oriented decision making skills
• Working knowledge of Google AdWords, analytics, webmaster tools and ability to analyze web statistics and advertising ROI.
• Travel – approximately 10%
