PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE:
Responsible for all global marketing activities related to Face Makeup (Foundation, Powder, Concealer, Primer, Metal Compacts and brushes). Manages new and existing business. Will work directly with Executive Director to develop marketing plans and strategies and liaise with colleagues in regional affiliates to ensure successful execution.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. GLOBAL MARKETING STRATEGY
• Work closely with Executive Director in the development, management and execution of franchise strategies, in the development of 3 year product planning, global and regional marketing calendars
• Work closely with the Consumer Engagement team to develop campaign briefs for digital initiatives
• Financial management of category and need gap analysis, as well as value analysis and business mix efforts.
• Ensure Global marketing timetables dates are met and launches are shipped as planned; runs GPPD meeting.
• Responsible for SKU management for managed franchises.
• Leads the preparation of bi-annual face advertising briefs
• Coordinates the effort to keep an archive of all competitive makeup advertising
• Liaises with advertising and regional heads to ensure market relevancy.
• As related to franchises responsible for, update team on competitive activity, consumer insights and trends at the global level and across key regions/markets
2. NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MARKETING
• Participates in the conceptual development of new products, marketing support programs and analysis of strategic fit.
• Collaborates with cross functional partner groups to bring new programs to market. (e.g. -Global Business Supply Chain, Product Development, Packaging, Design, Creative, Education, Regions).
• Ensures key timetable dates are met in coordination with Global Business Supply Chain.
• Develops marketing forecast estimates and collaborates with Global Business Planning to finalize recommendation.
• Develops new product pricing recommendations and collaborates with Regional Marketing and Global Pricing to finalize recommendation.
• Prepares forecast offerings and bulletins detailing new program introduction and execution.
• Helps lead conceptual development of marketing launch programs/experiences with the cross-functional team (e.g. Creative, Digital, Merchandising, Public Relations, Education, Special Events).
• Supports Executive Director in creating or adapting existing product launches and support elements to ensure regional and local relevance
3. MEETINGS AND PRESENTATIONS
• Prepares presentations for various senior management meetings, strategy meetings, orientations, competitive reviews, category reviews, regional meetings, regional roundtables, etc.
• Leads bi-weekly Global New Product Development cross-functional meetings and initiates and manages cross-functional task force meetings for new launches as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Position requires strong analytical, leadership, conceptual and project management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication, excellent presentation skills, ability to personally organize and set priorities and to drive other people.
• Knowledge of the functions of product development, packaging design, advertising, and sales and their effect on product marketability.
• Position requires creativity and thorough knowledge in all areas of marketing including the ability to develop and implement innovative marketing programs, knowledge of global market/consumer trends.
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
• College degree. MBA preferred.
• Position requires 8+ years relevant work experience
• Marketing/Brand Management experience within Prestige Cosmetics industry is a plus.
• Previous global and or applied marketing experience required.
