Description
SUMMARY:
The successful candidate must demonstrate a good understanding of retail trends and be equipped with a strong sense of design and design software skills.
Work with the Regional VM team to create brand specific VM guidelines and develop regionally relevant in-store product displays for 13 markets in APAC.
The position will be based at the Asia Pacific Headquarters in Hong Kong & will report into the Regional VM Director.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with renderings of VM elements in APAC.
The VM Designer will be able to assist with rendering APAC specific VM concepts.
This will include:
• New product displays in 3D to be used for presenting new VM initiatives to management.
• Mechanicals/guidelines for hoarding for new doors in APAC.
• Mechanicals for store decals by collection.
• Mechanicals/guidelines for in-store signage as needed.
• Work closely with Global Windows team to execute window programs in APAC.
Develop new door merchandising layouts.
• As the APAC business expand and we continue to explore new channels of commerce the VM Designer will be responsible for the VM plan layouts of the South East Asia markets.
• Identify local market trends of key competitors on store design and visual merchandizing in order to provide pro-active recommendations.
• Ensure proper implementation of in-store merchandising in each market to be in line with the corporate standards
• Control the quality of local adaptation on all visual-related materials, including poster, signage, light box and etc.
Execute quarterly merchandising mailers.
• The VM designer will work closely with affiliate VM Team to adapt the global brand VM guidelines for 13 markets in APAC.
• Aid in making the content (Visualization calendar, schematics and product lineup) locally relevant to each market.
Assist with conceptualization/implementation of training workshops in APAC.
• The VM Designer will work closely with the APAC Director of VM on regionally specific workshops.
• Responsible for the assets creation and aid in the creative conceptualization process.
Qualifications
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
• At least 2 years’ experience
• 1-2 Years of graphic design/retail merchandising or related field experience preferred
• University degree, BA or BFA preferred
• Professional education in Visual Merchandising, Design or related disciplines.
• Excellent knowledge of computer programs including, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D programs (ex. Sketchup) & Microsoft Office
• Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute ideas.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
• Ability to communicate with associates at different levels.
• Deadline oriented and ability to self-manage
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Understanding of current fashion/retail trends
