Position Overview:
The Director of E-Commerce will set the vision and lead the execution for the Uniqlo USA website that
will deliver a best-in-class customer experience that drives significant and sustainable business growth.
She/He will collaborate with cross-functional and cross-geographical partners to deliver on P&L targets
by managing across key metrics through merchandise planning, site merchandising, site experience,
traffic, and web analytics. This data-driven person must be able to assess and initiate opportunities for
growth and lead/project manage cross-functional and cross-geography teams to manage the
implementation, test results, and iterate in a dynamic market.
Job Description:
• Responsible for the Uniqlo USA E-Commerce P&L through understanding key performance
indicators ensuring the business meets targets by pulling the appropriate levers to drive sales
and find cost efficiency. Collaborate with key stakeholders to define/lead revenue projections.
• Define and lead the E-Commerce roadmap through strategic thinking and collaboration by
translating overall business strategy and customer goals into actionable work plans. Partner to
define the omni-channel strategy to serve customers across all Uniqlo touch points.
• Ensure tight process and communication coordination across functions to deliver a cohesive
customer experience that balances customer desires and company goals.
• Adapt global Uniqlo strategies for local market and digital environment.
• Be customer focused. Constantly think about how to raise the customer experience in a
dynamically changing environment.
• Be data-driven to develop and prioritize initiatives, measure results, iterate when necessary, and
support business cases.
• Oversee Site Merchandising team and strategy which includes onsite presentation of
Merchandise Planning assortment strategies to convey brand value.
• Oversight of Performance Marketing to drive qualified traffic to the website and ensure relevant
and compelling onsite experience through Site Merchandising.
• Oversee Site Experience to provide a user friendly digital experience across devices with
features and functionality that provide the most relevant onsite experience to customers.
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Minimum of 5+ years of B2C E-Commerce experience for website(s) that ship goods managing
with performance-based goals. P&L management a must. Merchandising skills preferred.
• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent project management skills, leading, influencing, and driving cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical skills with knowledge of site metrics. Experience in at least one of the
following: Google Analytics, Omniture, Coremetrics or another web analytics tool.
• Excellent Excel skills
• Knowledge of E-Commerce technology platforms a plus
• Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize,
and articulate high impact initiatives.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
• Superb communication skills, including strong oral and presentation skills with the ability to
communicate and interact at all levels.
