Purpose and Scope:
Ralph Lauren is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Marketing Manager to work for the Wholesale Digital Ecommerce (WDE) team. This position will report to the Senior Director, Content & Operations and will work closely with many key functions within the company as well as external partners/wholesale accounts. Candidates should be extremely detailed oriented, collaborative, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with internal teams (sales, marketing, merchandising, brand management) to understand
seasonal strategies and priorities and develop into online opportunities that support business objectives
• Attend internal pre-market line review, wholesale dot com market appointments, and brand
management meetings for each season
• Obtain final buys for each account by delivery to verify, create and maintain seasonal pre-
approved imagery documents
• Manage seasonal strategy and online marketing plan/calendar
• Manage approvals from all key stakeholders
• Prepare comprehensive recap documents with key insights and implications for future campaigns
• Manage relationships with external accounts to ensure the RL brand is appropriately represented on
partner sites; negotiate and secure all online marketing
• Collaborate and brainstorm with WDE creative team and RL divisions to brief, develop, and execute all
RL marketing assets and special content projects
• Partner with WDE project management team to communicate and track deadlines to ensure timely
deliver to the accounts
• Request and analyze campaign performance metrics to identify successes/best practices and
optimization opportunities
• Capture and archive all RL marketing activity/initiatives online
• Stay current on the competitive landscape, trends, and issues in the wholesale e-commerce space –
particularly as it pertains to the RL businesses and the wholesale online accounts with whom we
partner
• Manage and ensure development of marketing coordinator
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university
• 3-5 years of experience in marketing (minimum 2-3 years online)
• Collaborative and agile thinker
• Proactive, with ability to prioritize and troubleshoot
• Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with client-service orientation
• Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with/passion for the fashion industry and online marketing
• Experience managing and mentoring direct reports a plus
