J.Crew is currently seeking a Human Resources Intern in our Customer Contact Center and Distribution Center for Summer 2017. At J.Crew, you will gain an educational experience by working with our HR professionals.
Responsibilities:
• Research and collect data for various HR initiatives
• Research different creative methods of sourcing for exempt and
non-exempt hiring
• Develop creative methods to gauge employee satisfaction
• Begin to develop a current knowledge of HR Laws and Regulations
• Develop a working knowledge of HR information systems
• Prepare Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents
• Learn the steps in the recruiting and hiring process, including:
posting, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, making job offers
and orientation
• Gain an understanding of the Affordability Care Act and the effect it
has had on employee benefit administration related to plan renewal,
open enrollment, and termination
Qualifications:
• Internship is designed for rising college seniors
• Currently enrolled in a related degree program – Human Resources
• Demonstrates attention to detail; produces accurate work
• Strong problem solving, organization and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks without direction
• Confidentiality is a must
• Complete assigned projects accurately and on time
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Work, PowerPoint)
• Ability to analyze data, create reports and provide recommendations
Internships are paid and located in Lynchburg, VA
