Responsibilities:
General purpose of the position:
The assistant buyer will support the efforts of the buying team across ecommerce and retail to ensure efficient execution of category decisions and quality of data.
Responsibilities:
• Produce reports as needed.
• Monitor and track receipt flow of the open-to-buy forecast.
• Produce selling reports and identify the best sellers vs. worst sellers.
• Build and maintain assortment tools and sku counts.
• Coordinate customer touch points with Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Ecommerce and Store Operations.
• Work closely with Inventory Management and Allocation to ensure that distributions support assortment strategy.
• Support and facilitate store feedback and re direct on product, customer feedback, and store environments.
• Collaborate with the eCommerce team to ensure site merchandising accurately reflects top investments and big ideas of the season.
• Assist with hindsight preparation for merchandise meetings.
• Assist during market with preparation and assortment.
Qualifications:
Skills and abilities required:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1-3 years experience in buying for a vertical retailer
• Proficient in retail math
• Proficient in excel and all Microsoft applications
• Ability to multitask and focus in a busy atmosphere
• Ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities
• Ability to build strong working relationships with cross functional teams
• Posses strong presentation, listening, verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated success in working on a collaborative team
• Demonstrated organizational skills
