Primary Purpose:
The Director of RTW Product Development and Production is a dynamic individual contributor responsible for driving the product development process from initial design concept through commercialization to final delivery. Responsible for the accurate and timely production of samples and bulk. Critical cross functional partner to Design, Merchandising, Materials and Technical teams.

• Work with Design to drive the creative process with a holistic understanding of the brand aesthetics.
• Lead product development team managing all aspects while engaging Design to ensure aesthetic intent and Merchandising to ensure commercial requirements for Women’s Collection or Pre Collection lines.
• Provide communication and process management to ensure there is alignment across all categories.
• Manage allocation according to sourcing strategy.
• Create and manage calendars to ensure timeliness of deliverables.
• Set quarterly and seasonal costing strategy to meet company goals.
• Oversee all costing activities according to PDT and within target margin objectives.
• Ensure execution of milestones to meet on-time delivery of samples and bulk production.
• Manage/monitor WIP factory performance.
• Develop product to meet our global product testing and compliance requirements.
• Implement goals and initiatives for self and team to drive efficiencies and process improvements.
• Align cross-functionally to drive decision-making.
• Strategize execution of team’s activities, ensuring consistency of process and quality of information.
• On board and develop new service providers/factories.
• Prepare and analyze seasonal metrics.
• Develop and mentor department to build synergy internally and cross-functionally.
• Recognize, manage, cultivate and develop talent.

• 8+ years’ experience in product development, costing, and production.
• Bachelor's degree is related field.

• Strong aptitude and understanding of luxury garment construction and production.
• Product centric and Operations savvy.
• Experience globally sourcing & developing product direct with factories.
• Experience with factories globally with a focus on Europe, Asia and USA.
• Ability to understand factory capabilities to direct development into most appropriate locations.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of the organization.
• Attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
• Strong, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building working relationships within teams.

• Strong computer skills, design card, tech pack and/or bom building experience.
