Position Summary
Primary Responsibilities: This individual provides strategic sourcing support to cross-functional business partners specific to the Property Development business unit. Must be able to provide support regarding strategic planning, spend analysis, price, and contract negotiations. This individual must be able to work under minimal supervision in negotiating complex contracts and problem solve. Key objective will be ensuring optimal agreements with mitigated risk while collaborating, advising and driving viable and efficient sourcing and procurement processes.
Position Expectations:
• Collaborate on an annual basis with business unit and Finance on strategic cost savings targets and project plans.
• In partnership with department subject matter experts, create and execute RFPs as needed.
• Conduct all phases in the development of complex contracts to include drafting statements of work, request for proposal creation, and contract evaluation and negotiation.
• Create RFP analysis tools to flush out: cost savings, risk assessment and bid recommendations.
• Create successful relationships with business partners by contributing proactive sourcing strategies on a consistent basis.
• Collaborate with the Legal department on contracts as needed.
• Partner cross functionally throughout the organization to evaluate cost and or efficiency opportunities – specific alignment with Property Development business unit and related spend.
• Manage to a target and track all cost saving efforts.
• Assist in the development of vendor sourcing, vetting and on boarding tools.
Requirements
• 7 years corporate/retail level procurement experience.
• Experience managing direct reports.
• Ability to summarize complex business issues and evaluate opportunities for improved functionality, cost savings and SLAs.
• Mandatory: Extensive experience with spend categories:store related materials, fixtures, construction, transportation, maintenance programs and capital spend.
• Ability to advise business partners with sourcing strategies and opportunities.
• Experience with developing and evaluating statements of work, risk analysis, contract writing and market research.
• Experienced and skilled negotiator with utilization of flexible strategies.
• Experience conducting spend data analysis and strategic planning with business partners.
• Ability to successfully influence both internal and external partners.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and risk assessment skills.
• Excellent communication skills including oral, written, and interpersonal. Experience interfacing with senior level stakeholders.
• College degree required. Procurement or Supply management certification a plus.
• Advanced excel skills required.
