Job Description
StyleHaul is seeking a Social Media Editor to join StyleHaul’s social + marketing team in Los Angeles. You should be familiar with the language of the digital world, pop culture, the YouTube space as well as up on the latest trends in social media — from cutting edge creative content and tech advancements to exploring new platforms. The Social Media Editor will execute the vision set by the Director of Social + Editorial as well as contribute to the creative process. The ideal candidate has two-plus years experience working in digital media with an emphasis in production: visual curation, stop-motion video production + pre-production expertise.
Qualifications
What You’ll Do:
• Produce content for StyleHaul’s Facebook Live, SnapChat + musical.ly platforms that are in harmony with our overall brand and aesthetic.
• Research, plan and develop original short-form content.
• Contribute to the editorial calendar + strengthen the brand’s voice.
• Handle pre-production of all concepts, including proposed budgets, cast and timeline.
• Edit and deliver content on time and consistently.
• Attend events with StyleHaul + provide engaging coverage.
• Collaborate with the marketing and talent team to create branded series featuring StyleHaul creators.
What You Have:
• Bachelors Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience working in digital media, social media or production.
• Prior experience producing short-form video / social content.
• Familiarity with Photoshop, iMovie or FinalCut.
• An avid interest in social media, fashion + style and innovative content.
• A strong sense of narrative and an eye for unique story opportunities is essential.
• Capable of juggling multiple projects at once.
• Some on-air work — Snap / IG / FB personality.
• Positive, reliable and consistent with dedication to produce top quality work.
