Overview
Primary point of contact for Asia business partner. Responsible for the development, execution and communication of business strategies that meet or exceed financial goals for each market. Responsible for product sell-in to accounts and for ensuring the financial returns, product assortment, brand strategies and brand standards are met.
Responsibilities
Relationship Management
• Own relationship for one of our largest Asia partnered businesses
• Serve as China and Southeast Asia Ambassador with cross functional internal teams to ensure needs of our Asia markets are represented
• Acting Brand Ambassador to communicate companywide initiatives to licensee
Long Range Planning & Financial Responsibilities
• Co-develop long range growth strategy & execution plan for China, Hong Kong & Southeast Asia
• Develop and implement product and in season strategies that meet financial targets
◦ Participate in bi-weekly calls with International partners and store visual merchandising team
◦ Review monthly store photos to identify remerchandising opportunities to increase productivity
• Collaborate with licensee on OTB and seasonal sales plans
• Analyze quarterly end of season results to identify future investment strategies
• Collaborate on seasonal pricing recommendations to ensure competitive pricing
• Partner on real estate strategy to ensure door locations meet brand positioning and sales potential requirements
• Drive weekly, monthly and quarterly selling analysis and report out results to cross functional teams
• Maintain weekly sales snapshot and promotional calendar
Brand Excellence & Execution
• Audit accounts to ensure they comply with financial commitments and brand standards
• Provide regular brand strategy updates and create localized interpretation of strategy if applicable
• Review store photos in partnership with VM to identify re-merchandising opportunities to increase productivity
• Understand and share company best practices and apply locally where appropriate
• Refine understanding of partners best practices and share across the organization
Sales & Merchandising
• Provide merchandising team with monthly & quarterly sales brief highlighting regional needs & performance feedback
• Curate exclusive offer for gaps in assortment
• Sell in line during market
• Edit assortment regionally to maximize sales while still protecting key point of view styles
• Identify key looks & mandatory styles by door/region where applicable
• Drive market calendar, business meeting agendas, and post appointment follow-up
In Season
• Primary contact for all line changes and strategy shifts to accounts
• Receipt Reconciliation & Re-balance receipts through seasonal line changes
• Weekly sales analysis & quarterly hindsight
• Evaluate & approve in season promotional cadence and delivery flow
• Partner with Marketing to ensure marketing/PR strategy supports vision of brand
• Order Entry
Skills and Requirements
• 8+ years of account management experience or similar role
• MUST have international experience, preferably Asia
• Ability to embrace and display company core values
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to understand client needs, build trust, and establish rapport
• Strong financial proficiency
• Strong presentation & negotiation skills
• Understanding of the competitive market place, industry shifts, and business trends
• Thrives in entrepreneurial environment
• Managerial experience
• Mandarin and/or Cantonese fluency a plus
