Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
• Create Visual Merchandising & In-Store Communications training and compliance programs ensuring global consistency across all physical channels (Wholesale & DTC)
• Manage training, communication & best practice processes into the market place to ensure global consistency and excellence in execution at the point of sale across all physical channels (Wholesale & DTC)
• Manage cross-functional teamwork within the global Visual Merchandising and In-Store Communications community with a focus on securing the next generation of talent.
• Promote Visual Merchandising & In-Store Communications as a profit center contributor through correct data and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with the relevant Global Sales Organization & Market Teams to create clear requirements, align briefs & a framework for clear feedback
◦ Develop & align market visit structures
◦ Align on key door priorities within each market across all physical channels (wholesale & DTC)
◦ Establish a global roadmap of key strategic DTC & Wholesale implementations
◦ Provide WHS specific knowledge and transparency to all other Concept to Consumer functions
• Partner with the relevant consumer experience teams to create clear requirements, align briefs & a framework for clear feedback ensuring continued alignment to global consumer experience objectives and positioning:
◦ Develop guidelines, training programs and tools for markets to implement the concepts for example:
# Train the trainer, retail skills workshops, store opening plans & checklists, visit reports, store compliance tool (shopshape)
• Manage external agencies (visual presentation specialists; software agencies).
• Improve processes:
◦ Monitor the Retail industry (brick and mortar and digital) for best practices that can be adapted for adidas.
◦ Drive for industry leading innovations in Visual Merchandising & In-Store Communications at both the consumer level and the implementation practices. Build business cases for investment direction with guidance on commercial or Brand lifting experiences
• Manage Resources:
◦ Manage project budgets (as assigned).
• Coordinate between department tactics and operational objectives.
• Work independently and collaboratively.
• Additional assignments or special projects as assigned or agreed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Fully qualified and experienced in retail Visual Merchandising & In-Store communications, combining theoretical with practical experience.
• Strong organisation skills and flexibility.
• Specialist in technical skills.
• Proven track record in project management.
• English fluent: verbal, written & spoken. Another European language is an advantage.
• IT: Microsoft Office advanced. Visual Retailing is an advantage.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
• Business or Marketing Degree.
• 4-6 years’ experience in retail visual merchandising / In-Store Communications (including fashion retailing).
• 1+ years working with Global markets or 1+ years working in a top tier adidas market.
• 1+ year’s management experience.
