Nike iD Merchandising Director
DESCRIPTION
The NikeiD Merchandising Director executes the merchandising vision that supports NikeiD strategic objectives. Global Merchandising leads assortment direction focused on consumer right assortments to enable compelling experiences and consumer journey. This role is integral for the integration of NikeiD into seasonal category plans through consistent collaboration with cross functional partners. Develops seasonal tools for key stakeholders to support seasonal plans. Responsible for providing direction for design inspiration and instance strategy from briefing to in-season execution. Leads and manages product flow and allocation/forecasting plans.
KEY ACTIVITIES
• Drive Merchandising excellence that aligns to iD strategic priorities, including: Assortment strategy, allocation plans, product flow and Pricing strategy
• Provide Design Inspiration and Instance strategy for all products: coordinating with Brand/ Brand Digital, Product Creation & Design, and Digital and Site Experience Operations.
• Review design inspirations for commerciality and link to Brand Marketing plans and Evaluate design inspiration requests (in-season)
• Work closely with product team to provide key consumer and business insights that inform product creation process
• Partner closely with digital brand to drive Digital Road Map development and execution
• Develop and deliver seasonal toolkits, ensure proper level of Brand support for seasonal stories.
• Utilize Merchandising analytics/ KPIs to optimize product and Site Experience improvements and seasonal hind sighting
• Execute merchandising tools for cross-functional partners, categories, cross-category and Geo teams
• Integrate into seasonal category plans through optimization of CGP Meetings and consistent collaboration with category merchandising and cross functional partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 8 years experience in merchandising, merchandising support, product creation
• High level of merchandising and product acumen
• Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Proven ability to conduct and/or analyze research related to product, classifications, market/competitors, consumers
• Strategic problem solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Superior interpersonal skills and ability to influence areas outside of direct control
• Strong Leadership experience align strategy and manage team performance including the ability to mentor, inspire, and influence others within a work group
• Approximately 10% Travel
