Primary Function:
• The Visual Merchandising Manager is to elevate & drive overall in-store retail quality for the TOM FORD Brand. He/she is to own the equity of the brand in APAC. He/she has to lead, manage a team too deliver on success.
• Creates standards & launch guidelines for all TR APAC locations. Partners with TR marketing to deliver the work across an FY to meet business objectives.
• Enables in a new store planning to help multifunctional team to understand the site/shopper differences that can better drive productivity for the brand
• The Tom Ford Visual Merchandising manager is to establish, own & drive VM priorities, workflow & management of designs in APAC. Has clear regional strategies to the execution of VMCG, VM planogram for Bars & Backwalls, Lightbox, Promotions/Eventing & IMD ordering
• The role is a key partner to driving excellence in retail navigation in Travel Retail, identifying the ease of shoppers in this channel. And owning the right executions to enable shoppers to browse, shop & bring home products with ease. The locations of Travel Retail today in APAC include Duty Free locations in travel ports, Downtown Duty Free & Free Standing locations.
• The role is to partner internally with other VM teams to drive better quality across to leverage exceptional executions.
• This role is the key driver to the distortion strategy for VM.
• The role requires the candidate to train/motivate & be part of a dynamic team partnership within the brand.
• This role is based in Singapore & is located within the Asia Pacific Travel Retail division.
• This role reports to the APAC SDVM Director & has a direct design reportee.
Responsibilities:
1. VM Collateral Guidelines (VMCG) for launches.
• Establish Regional Display guidelines for SK/MU/FR.
• Review Global launch with marketing & adapt for APAC TR.
• Develop & simplify guidelines to deliver on existing & older gen design counters.
• Define & drive Top Door VM guidelines display with Field Merchandisers.
• Training Field Merchandisers to execute VM for ASMs through training, workshops and regular visits to all markets.
2. VM Planograms – SK/MU/FR Bars & Backwall for launches.
• Review existing configurations of templates.
• Establish new launch format for template.
• Develop & produce for local executions via supplier & field merchandisers.
• Review with photos of execution from field merchandisers.
3. Lightbox planning, vetting & supplier implementation across, for launches.
• Identify from marketing launch priority planning via SCM twice a year the key launches.
• Review off-site JCD requirements by quarter via TR marketing.
• Liase with TR & Affiliate Marketing to review lightbox priority accuracy.
• Drive planning review with supplier on lightbox formats/layouts for different cropping types; across APAC.
• Lead color proofing to finalise quality output; with supplier.
• Maintain high visual lightbox standards throughout all environments through training, workshops and regular visits to all markets.
4. TR Promotions/HPP/SPP for various standard sites across.
• Establish all the TR standard sites & standard fixtures dimensions.
• Develops with team unique requirements for launches/promos.
• Drive completion & execution with photos from Field Merchandisers.
• Review quality of executions from suppliers with Field Merchandisers.
5. IMD Ordering for new launches & counter installations.
• Review offerings being sent out via IMD.
• Establish requirements through forecasting & orders with marketing.
• New ACS/GPS re-orders & planning for TR APAC.
• Track status of orders & ensure timely delivery to installations of new doors.
6. People managing
• Stakeholder management across regional & NY Brand teams
Role Requirements:
• Has strong analytical understanding to problem solving & drive quality communication with the Global teams.
• Has an eye for design details & solutions to production issues for all VM displays.
• Has strong interpersonal & communication skills to interact with multifunctional team members.
• Has excellent organizational skills & ability to self start on gathering information.
• Has Managerial responsibility.
Qualifications:
• BA in Design related fields or BFA preferred.
• 10~12 years of retail merchandising or related field experience preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
• Strong organization, follow up and prioritization skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced organization, able to communicate & multi-task with different external & internal departments to execute the completion of projects.
• Keen interest & passion for the beauty industry business & lifestyle products.
• Knowledge of computer programs including, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, Microsoft office
• Good command of both written & spoken English is necessary or other languages is preferred.
