Marketing Director – ESSIE
Reports directly to the VP, Marketing
Overview
Responsible for the marketing management of the ESSIE brand through the professional channel, in terms of the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy. Includes operational marketing / promotional activities and some product development. Interface with departments such as: business development and sales, finance, education, PR, marketing services, creative department, technical packaging.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the development, execution, promotion and the profitability of multiple product lines,
• Suggest and execute clear brand-building plans in line with the objectives of the division, including 3-year marketing plan, new product launches, promotions and communication strategy
• Lead projects from initial concept development to implementation, and coordinate the teamwork between the different departments involved
• Responsible for artwork and legal claim requirements for all assigned products/brands
• Interface with key salons, nail technicians & distributors for understanding of market trends and competitor activities
• Conduct marketing research, follow up on campaigns and launches, provide Senior Management team with regular quantitative and qualitative reports
• Manage forecasts, brand P&L, stock inventory for promotional activities and product launches
• Prepare and deliver oral & written presentations to sales and distributor teams
• Travel (max. 20% and week-end work at times)
Requirements
• Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field required, MBA preferred
• 7+ years brand management, preferably with beauty industry-related experience
• Nail category or professional distribution experience a plus
• Dynamic, and proactive personality with the ability to perform impactful presentations
• Solid analytic abilities. Proven expertise in problem solving and multiple project management
• Good organization and prioritization skills required
• Strong PC skills in Word, Excel and Power Point
