Coordinator – eCommerce Merchandising: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family
As the eCommerce Merchandising Coordinator it will be your responsibility to support the execution of merchandising strategies to maximize sales, margin, inventory turnover, site merchandising presentation, and customer satisfaction. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure all purchase orders, receipt flows, and sample management are maintained efficiently. You will provide input on merchandising to support informed merchandising decisions.
How You Will Make a Difference:
• Enters purchase orders for web categories, making certain purchase orders meet key deadlines. Responsible for PO maintenance and order tracking and item definition in Island Pacific and product attribution in Merchandising system.
• Assists in developing assortment plans, sales forecasts, writing reports and analyzing sales figures. Assists with reviewing and reacting to sales performance and selling reports.
• Actively participates in user acceptance testing for site enhancement projects.
• Coordinates photo shoot process; gathers sample product to ensure timely and complete labeling, delivery and return from studio, assists with alternate shot lists and missing images. Maintains image directories and archives.
• Assists the Merchandising team with all reporting responsibilities and coordinates the merchandising calendar.
• Owns sample coordination process, cat b process, and eCommerce sample room organization and flow.
Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 2+ years
Educational/ Position Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree (BA) or equivalent from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous eCommerce experience in a buying and/or merchandising capacity preferred
• Experience in retail environment highly desired
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to multi-task
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with coworkers and vendors with whom the company conducts business
• WCS, Coremetrics, Island Pacific, AS400 experience helpful
• Basic Photoshop skills required
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office- particularly with Excel
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
• Lifting and/or bending 25 amount of weight.
