Overview
Tiffany & Co. is currently seeking an IT Manager - Application Support specifically for eCommerce. The Manager will be responsible for the operational support of Tiffany’s global eCommerce and related public facing environments, custom .NET web applications, and supporting enterprise technologies. This position oversees the technical support the e-commerce and web-related services ensuring system availability, stability and readiness are closely aligned with the needs of the Marketing and Digital Creative business partners. Responsibilities include the oversight of environment preparedness, non-production and production deployments, related performance testing and monitoring, non-functional project requirements, transition to support and outage/problem management.
Responsibilities
The Manager - Application Support will partner with functional teams to understand the business functions of supported systems in order to establish the technical support required for implementation and post implementation support while providing 2nd and 3rd level support for supported Retail Applications. S/He will develop a deep understanding of all technical components in the supported applications including the hardware, services, integration layer and databases.
The Manager - Application Support will partner and collaborate closely with the 3rd party vendors and the Technology Management team in implementing and supporting applications. This position will support the deployment of code and testing environment set-up for all supported applications. S/He will manage and develop direct reports through the performance management process and ongoing coaching and career discussions while ensuring the staff have a high level functional and deep technical knowledge of the supported applications while training staff on new technologies being deployed.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or Computer Science
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in Information Technology
• 3-5 years of practical experience in eCommerce support or development activity
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to summarize/diagram complexities
• In-depth knowledge of web architecture, monitoring, security control, backup, recovery and application integration
• Practical experience prioritizing, tracking, and reporting multiple demands for self and team
• Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with IT, vendors, and business teams
• Willingness to work occasional off-hours during on-call, deployments, and/or outages
• Working knowledge of Windows Server OS, IIS, SQL Server, and prevailing browser applications (Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer) is ideal
• Working knowledge of or representative technologies, to include, Soasta mPulse RUM, Soasta CloudTest, Akamai CDN, Adobe Omniture, Google Analytics, Adobe DTM, Adobe Scene7, Oracle Endeca Search, CyberSource Payments, BMC RPD deployment, BMC Control-M Scheduling is preferred
• Past experience with tag & bot management tools and practices is ideal
• Past experience with ITIL/ITSM management tools is ideal
