Responsibilities:
• Primary HR partner to Milan HQ office team, London team, and all EU Retail stores
• Provide day-to-day partnership and counsel on all HR activities in region: recruitment, employee relations, payroll, compensation, talent development & coaching, and compensation
• Work with local counsel and TB NY counsel on labor relations issues by country in region
• Work closely with subject matter experts NY HQ HR organization (ie. compensation and payroll)
• Primary region partner and advisor for:
◦ defining roles and crafting job specs
◦ organizational design and scaling
◦ hiring/talent selection
◦ compensation, titling and leveling
◦ employee relations, coaching, development plans
◦ learning & development programs
• Implement and execute HR systems and process within NY HQ commercial groups and HQ organization in Milan, Italy and for all stores in EU region. This includes:
◦ Annual and mid-year performance review
◦ Annual compensation review
◦ Onboarding
◦ Culture Survey
◦ Succession Planning
◦ Internal communication
◦ Workday
• Represent, sustain and nurture the Tory Burch culture and Buddy Values; coach others
Qualifications:
• Minimum 7 years generalist HR experience; well-rounded in the areas of recruitment, employee relations, employment practices across EU, and HR Operations; training skills a plus
• Thorough knowledge and practical application of HR process: payroll, pension, compensation
• Experience working for global brand is required; experience working as a regional HR lead for a US headquartered brand is a plus
• Must have experience managing labor and employment requirements within multiple EU countries including: France, Italy, UK, Germany
• Retail HR or similar industry experience required – field population
• Great ability to identify talent; several years successfully interviewing, hiring and retaining talent
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly articulate point of view to varied audiences; including strong and consistent documentation skills
• Very strong project management and planning skills; must be able to operate in-the-moment tactically
• Demonstrated sound judgement in managing delicate or controversial organizational issues
• Comfortable in less-structured or more entrepreneurial environment
• Self-directed, self-motivated and self-aware
• Strong PC skills: Word, Excel, Powerpoint; SAP/Workday a plus!
• Warmth, sense of humor, empathy and natural optimism/can-do demeanor required
