Primary Purpose
The Senior Manager, Technical Design Women’s is a strategic partner responsible for management of the technical design team and the execution of product from development to commercialization. Responsible for analyzing and evaluating garments with correct fit specifications and brand aesthetic and establishing processes to support this. Critical cross functional partner to the Design and Product Development teams
Successful Individual will leverage his or her skills to help...
• Oversee a team of technical designers and Women's Patternmakers.
• Create development drapings and muslins to achieve designer's aesthetic.
• Manage all aspects of fittings, technical issues and product evaluations.
• Mange hiring, orienting, training and development of the technical team.
• Monitor and coach factory technical teams.
• Manage the adherence to product time/action calendars.
• Communicate deviations from calendar, facilitates resolutions and resolves issues.
• Participate in research and development of new techniques and fits.
• Establish strong relationships with cross functional and global partners.
• Daily delegation and prioritizing of workload.
• Ability to influence and navigate thru difficult situations with little or no supervision.
• Highly solution oriented.
• Special project management.
• Ability to make and correct patterns.
• Ability to interact and coordinate workload, communication and direction to local sample rooms & patternmakers.
• Ability to work out of the box, multitask and juggle ad hoc projects and processes for quick accurate turnaround.

The accomplished professional will have...
• 10+ years experience in technical design
• Experience with high-end, luxury apparel
• Patternmaking experience is preferred.
