Merchandising Lead, Global DTC Merchandising – Women’s Apparel

Nike Product Management and Merchandising employees skillfully operate at the intersection of buyer needs, market trends and industry-defining products. The Product Management team leads the product creation process, manages product lines and drives business objectives. Merchandising employees understand consumer needs and market capacity to create the right product mix for a wide array of in-store and online retail environments. Together, they ensure world-class products and services travel from concept to commerce to help athletes push the boundaries of their potential.
• Lead & Drive the gender cross-category Merchandising of Global Nike.com. Deliver assortment direction to Geography partners that facilitates full adoption and harmonization via data led insights. Key focus areas:
• Style/SKU investment by category, by classification/platform and price point.
• X-Categorical Classification Assortment capacity
• Timing, priority, and inventory investment of Brand/Gender SLP (Consumer-Led Flow)
• Qualitative consumer insights
• Site and Merchandising analytics
• Lead the editing and product selection process to ensure freshness, relevancy, consistency and the right balance of brand story-telling and commerce
• Drive revenue, profitability and consumer engagement by leading a team and managing the day to day execution of merchandising strategies and campaigns.
• Primary liaison with Global Brand/Creative to effectively balance design direction + commercial performance to elevate and build consistency in brand image and top line full price performance
• Provide Global product direction to Geo site Merchandising and Global/Geo Brand Digital teams for key initiatives, lead product walls and email support to create a consistent nike.com consumer experience .
• Partner with Brand Digital and UX on search results, cross-sell performance, click/scroll behavior and other merchandising analytics to optimize the consumer’s experience during the most critical moments in their journey on nike.com.
• Understand and communicate the Global critical initiatives of the business. Provide direction to Global/Geo team in order to create a cohesive product assortment that supports Brand/Retail moments and is in line with Sales plans.
• Support VP DTC – Manage in-season business (Read & Adapt) by tracking and analyzing Global sales information in order to identify opportunities to increase sales, improve margins, maximize inventories & decrease markdowns.
• Build and own seasonal Digital Roadmap at gender level which aligns critical Retail events, consumer moments, brand stories and product launches. Consistently provide feedback to cross-functional partners on product performance for each story.
• Deliver cross-category product direction for all Retail moments that are supported on nike.com or in digital channels, with intent to connect to consumers, drive revenue and profitability and to support priority Brand moments.
• Promote synergy in storytelling across genders, categories, and division to deliver a focused homepage experience and cadence of content.
• Share insights across Global DTC Merchandising organization to ensure the Category-owned Monobrand EO meets the needs of all facets of the merchandising team (i.e. Concepts), ensuring seamless consumer journey in all channels.
• Lead change agendas to evolve the merchandising game plan process
• Focus on future of business by identifying market trends and assortment opportunities
• Lead & coach Nike.com Cross-Category Merchants
• Partner with all Digital Ops functions to support site experience improvements/alignment through analytics to drive increased conversion and AOV
• Buy Review and Hindsighting partnership with Global Planning & Finance, Geo CBD’s
Qualifications
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree or additional 2 years of experience in lieu of degree
• Requires a minimum of 6 years directly relevant experience
• Experience should include comprehensive experience as a business/process leader or industry expert
