Associate Producers contribute significantly to the production process, as they are responsible for specific elements delegated to them by the Supervising or Executive Producer. They will assist and support the Supervising Producer in bringing the product to life on air to make for compelling television presentations that resonate with our customer. Associate Producer responsibilities will vary from project to project.
A Day in the Life
• Capture, assemble and organize production elements (i.e. digital assets) that showcase the brand or theme, segment concept, product, and editorial information. Assist and support creative staff in producing live show events.
• Support the creation of pre-produced live show elements including: graphic elements, video content, music, show openers, etc.
• Coordinate the storyline with correct video sources and graphics making sure video or audio segments are in the correct order for a broadcast.
• Ensure all assets meet content and legal approvals
• Eliminate all factual/spelling/other errors from assets (i.e. stills, b-rolls, show notes, etc) to ensure they do not appear in the show. If a problem arises, address it immediately and/or follow up on problems with those involved.
• Help the Executive and Supervising Producers manage live show presentation expectations and communicate the on air vision (via the show notes).
• Act as the liaison when the Supervising Producer is unavailable.
• Assist with script writing and promotions, and handle studio blockings and pre-production meetings.
• Provide support, as needed, in guiding the editorial content of the program under the guidance of the Executive and Supervising Producers.
• Order/request support elements and materials.
• Bring creativity into every aspect of supporting the live show and pre-produced content.
• Meet with respective Buying and Planning teams to understand on air product and content. (new segments and content)
• Collaborate with respective category producing teams to connect on new segments and elements.
• Maintain accurate live show notes for a seamless broadcast execution.
• This person will partner cross-functionally and regularly interact with business partners, vendors, senior leaders, and celebrity personalities.
• May be required to attend live shows to support with the execution of new segments, elements and concepts

Must Haves
• Degree in TV Production or related field
• At least 3 years experience in TV
• Bring creativity into every aspect of supporting the live show
• Primarily schedule M-F with regular business hours
• May occasionally be required to work nontraditional hours such as weekends and nights
Candidates will be considered in totality of their skills and experience versus strict interpretation of “must haves”.
