Description
The Nike Digital team creates and enables some of the most well-known technologies at Nike, including the Nike+ product portfolio (Apple Watch Nike+, Nike+, NRC, NTC and Nike+ SNKRS), Nike.com and NIKEiD. We bring together technology and process expertise to deliver one-stop solutions that enable Nike, Inc.'s digital products, services and experiences. We are responsible for creating, developing and deploying seamless, tailored and inherently social experiences to our consumers.
In this role, you must be a self-starter, flexible thinker and outstanding communicator who is comfortable working across diverse teams and influencing different personalities and perspectives as you work across multiple teams in the Global Communications and Nike Digital organization.
As our Internal Communications Director, you'll work frequently with the Global Category, Corporate and Internal Communications teams as well as the leadership team across Nike Digital. Responsibilities include:
• Define, implement, and lead a unified communications strategy internally that engages, informs and inspires our internal consumers, partners and candidates about Nike Digital's mission, strategy, technology, etc.
• Manage and drive engaging employee events (such as Town Hall Meetings, Leaders Unplugged sessions, key recruiting events, etc.), including idea generation, run of show, theme and storytelling, promotion, presentation development, etc.
• Design and develop key communications/strategy materials (such as monthly newsletters, leadership communications, internal Nike communication tools, presentation design, etc.)
• Partner with internal/external design partners to develop assets, content and brand voice for Nike Digital to use internally and externally (including logos, imagery, presentations, etc.)
• Proactively build and manage strategic relationships with key internal stakeholders across a range of business partners and functions
Qualifications
To make it clear, we're not looking for just anyone. We're looking for someone special, someone who has had these experiences and clearly demonstrated these skills:
• Bachelor's degree (minimum) in journalism, marketing, public relations, communications, business, or related field required
• 8+ year experience in high profile Corporate Communications or Internal/Employee Communications role supporting globally branded organizations, either in agency or in-house
• Experience developing and driving communications strategy with different audiences and priorities, evolving as the business progresses and proactively adapting to an ever-changing internal environment
• Experience developing communications across multiple platforms, including print, digital, audio, video, mobile and social media
• Ability to both "think" and "do" in a hands-on role, adding value at all levels of the organization
• Ability to move at a fast pace with multiple projects in flight at once and can change course and still deliver
• Ability to build and cultivate key relationships internally with multiple business partners, and work collaboratively and drive consensus in a cross-functional, cross-geographical and cross-category matrix organizational structure
• Understanding of the evolving communications environment and digital landscape
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Keynote/PowerPoint and Excel skills and Word Press skills are a bonus
• Ability to work in a dynamic, results-oriented environment
