Executive Summary:
The Professional Products Division Events team run approximately 100+ Hairdressing-related events every year and are now seeking an Event Producer. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to further develop their experience in a formal events management role.
The role will include management and efficient delivery of event projects assigned. The delivery of all aspects of these projects in an effective and timely manner whilst adhering to strict deadlines, this includes: Sales, marketing, creative content generation, contracts, PR, digital content, communications, supplier selection and management, client management, associated websites, budget management, all associated logistics, delivery and post evaluation.
This is a demanding role that will require the producer to work outside off office hours in the evenings and across weekends to deliver many of the projects assigned.
Purpose of your new role:
As a producer, your principal accountability would be to manage and deliver assigned events projects and provide effective support to the Divisional Events Manager a diverse range of different projects, these could be 1-day seminars to larger month-long country wide road-shows to conferences abroad and photoshoots. You would be responsible for your own live projects within the team, with frequent exposure to senior management.
The role really requires a good all-round performer who has very strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail, has the ability to work autonomously and possesses a strong sense of initiative and problem solving. You will be liaising externally with influential hairdressers, production companies, travel agencies and hairdressing trade bodies, as well as internally within the division, so strong interpersonal skills are a must.
Your key job accountabilities:
• Define the strategy, measurable targets and deliver to these targets across all projects undertaken and deliver them on time and on budget.
• Work across PPD brands to produce the most inspiring events for hairdresser and consumers through creative thinking, integration of new technologies and ideas & develop strong partnerships with the best suppliers to consistently innovate and exceed expectation
• Ensure ongoing clear communication processes so that all stakeholders and PPD business are engaged throughout
• Management of all aspects of these projects: Sales, marketing, creative content, contracts, PR and communications, supplier selection and management, client management, associated websites, budget management, all associated logistics, successful delivery and outcomes
• Be a hairdressing industry expert, understand how the industry works and know the key players and the key issues.
