As a Retail Digital Senior Financial Analystfor Nike.com Europe you will play a key role in realizing the strategy across our Western and Central and Eastern Europe Geographies. A highly volatile business environment and ever-greater stakes reinforce the need for accuracy and visibility around business results and business planning. The ambitious strategic direction taken for the Digital business continuously reinforces the need to scrutinize actual performance and communicate effectively to support decision-making.
You will be responsible for the development, maintenance and exploitation of business critical Digital Finance tools. Your key objective will be to enable an integrated view between financials and business performance. With that in mind, you will work together with the Digital Finance, Nike.com and Controlling teams to build reliable, honest and efficient data sets to be leveraged in multi-dimensional analyses feeding into major business decisions regarding risks and opportunities, projects or investments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting for the Division. Contribute to budgets that incorporate strategic business plan objectives and appropriate assumptions, within set timelines.
• Prepare and distribute the reporting of business performance for the 3 year plans, budgets, forecasts, monthly and year end results. Work with finance and business functions to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness, as well as to enable integrated view between financials and business results.
• Actively review and interpret financial/business results and provide insightful analysis to explain trends within month end reporting, budgets and forecasts and identify risks and opportunities.
• Proactively and continuously develop value-added and efficient processes and tools to ensure financials are in sync with business performance, or that differences are well understood across stakeholders.
• Drive the accounting and reporting processes of the Retail Digital business including the management of costs.
• Support ad hoc business plan and contribute actively to the Digital PMO.
Qualifications
• Relevant Master degree and/or professional qualification (CFA)
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
• Proven expertise in financial analysis, planning and budgeting, at least 4 years relevant experience with Fortune 500/multinational consumer Products Company, Strategic Consulting and/or Investment Banking. Digital experience preferred.
• Ability to deliver results against tight and complex timelines plus ability to navigate large amount of information, ability to “connect the dots” from various data sources and communicate complex topics to the point. Experience of working within a matrix organization to be considered as an advantage
• Team player attitude, solid positive energy, confidence, integrity and passion for the Brand.
• Experience and passion for the retail business is preferred.
