Under Armour is looking for a Trade Marketing Manager for the Iberian market based in Barcelona, Spain. The position reports directly to the Brand Marketing Manager Europe as well as the Marketing Manager, South Europe.
The ideal candidate will have a strong proven record of implementing effective trade marketing programs for a sports or lifestyle brand. Therefore he/she has to have a precise understanding of how to build and execute retail marketing programs.The role of the Trade Marketing Manager, Iberia will be to support the Marketing Manager in delivering on brand, innovative and inspiring retail executions to elevate Under Armour’s retail experience. The position will be focused across all Iberian accounts and tasked with the profiling of Under Armour’s performance products within them. The candidate needs to be an excellent project managerhaving the ability to implement process plans and trade marketing programs. He / She needs to have a business sensein developing and executing trade marketing programs from a ROI perspective.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Execution of Iberian retail programming across all retail environments (Key Accounts & Field Accounts)
• Coordinate and manage the retail environments execution and maintenance to facilitate and execute new shops, floor resets, tech clinics, fixture loads and special projects.
• Working with the Brand Manager & Marketing Manager, you will create, manage and deliver an on time, on budget and on brand retail marketing activity calendar for the Spanish and Portuguese market.
• You will manage and execute seasonal retail marketing campaigns across all Iberian accounts through key focus categories
• You will drive the Iberian’s point of view on requirements for high street and online retailer.
• Working with the EHQ retail team and brand design team you will deliver retail marketing activation through local retail marketing agencies.
• You will work with Europe marketing teams to create premium retail presentations in respective retail outlets.
• You will help define, manage and execute the Iberian retail program for staff training, visual merchandising and POS presentation.
• You will coordinate relationships with outsourced retail marketing providers
• You will work with the commercial team to assist in account presentations, Buying Days and seasonal sell in activity of brand activity and retailer support.
• Report on/ measure the contribution of all retail marketing activities to establish ROI.
• You will manage all outside agency and vendor relationships related to execution of shop programs.
• You will coordinate Shop-in-shop and other branded corner realization, in close collaboration with EHQ

• 40% -Internal – Spanish office – Barcelona,
• 60% -External – In account meetings, with local agencies and in retail

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• 4+ years proven trade marketing experience in sporting goods / lifestyle brands across Iberia
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Strong understanding across all retail marketing mechanics.
• Excellent project management skills
• Ability to develop and maintain solid relationships and working knowledge of Iberian key retail accounts
• Ability to multitask in high pressure environment.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills and strong knowledge of current Iberian retail landscape.
• Strong presentation skills. Both verbal and written
• Team player with a passion for sports and have the desire to cross the line in first place delivering executional excellence.
• Dedicated, enthusiastic, innovative and drive to achieve the best, the teammate should be a strong communicator and able to manage their time effectively.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Additionally to Spanish, mastery of the English language, both conversation and written is an essential function. Portuguese and/or French are highly appreciated.
