General Summary:
At Gap brand, we have created one product team that will build a global omni assortment to support digital growth that can be edited by channel and geography. The product team will be responsible for creating, assorting and investing in an assortment that covers price positioning from value to premium for all channels. The Outlet Channel team will be responsible for bringing valuable knowledge and history to the broader organization to support the day to day running of the business by the teams in New York. They are the interface between the Outlet channel and the new omni teams and will help bridge the transition and protect, drive and grow the Outlet business.
Responsibilities:
The Director of Outlet Channel IM for Men’s & Adult Accessories reports to the VP of Outlet IM Transition Leader and is responsible for partnering with and influencing the omni product team with the below:
• Create pre-season sales, gm, and inventory plans by department for Outlet inclusive of all markets that support product strategies.
• Build assortment framework inclusive of cc targets, AUC targets and attribute targets for Outlet inclusive of all markets.
• Partner with Global IM, Design, Merchandising and Production to deliver line plan and AUC that delivers Outlet IMU%.
• Partner with Global IM and Regional IM on the development of the Outlet commercial plan.
• Partner with the Regional Inventory Management teams on delivering a comprehensive global hindsight to develop product and inventory strategies to service all global regions.
• Partner with Finance and Regional Inventory Management to create and manage to inventory budgets by quarter inclusive of LOC.
• Lead the analysis of historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Partner with NY Global Pre-season and market leads to support a successful transition.
• Support a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment with peers and cross-functional team.
• Collaborate with peers to share best practices and develop strategic knowledge.
• Outlet experience preferred.
• Financial and Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results; proficiency in retail math.
• Problem Solving & Decision Quality: Able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions.
• Planning & Priority Setting: Demonstrate an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals.
• Process and Change Management: Can identify and articulate the processes necessary to get things down efficiently and effectively.
• Organizational Savvy: Able to build constructive and effective relationships and use them to maneuver through complex situations.

• Systems and Tools Acumen: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and have aptitude to learn technical applications quickly.
• Risk Management: Anticipate risks and identifies contingency plans and processes to prevent disruptions when risks occur.
• Able to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners.
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrates strong listening, written and oral communication skills.
• Minimum 8 years inventory management experience.
• Four year college degree or equivalent required.
• Ability to travel.
