Purpose of Role:
Coordinate and maintain all ‘Speed Lab’ Local Sourcing and Supplier Production activities for the Canadian market with a focus on Quick Turn Licensed and Brand Moment sports. Provide technical product manufacturing and quality assurance expertise to all brands to ensure our marketplace meets the defined adidas Group standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the product development and factory production of identified Speed Lab market product opportunities utilizing local sourcing approved supplier portfolio.
Collaborate with internal product Speed Lab Manager and marketing teams these product opportunities from design/brief through to development “buy-ready” commercialization, on time, within the agreed margin parameter and at the required quality and assurance standards for the Canadian marketplace.
With applicable Suppliers or Buying Agents negotiate on behalf of adidas Group Canada; product material/trim Blanks forecasts, production capacity/space, profitable FOB pricing and margin strategies that support local production designs/briefs while maintaining all quality standards.
Responsible to adhere, maintain and support Local Sourcing Group Policy guidelines including;
SEA – Social and Environmental Affairs
FFC – Fair Factory Clearinghouse; Audit management/regulations, ethical sourcing decisions
SOE – Standards of Engagement; SOP, Compliance and Labor regulations
QC/QA – Quality Control and Quality Assurance; raw materials, finished products, testing, audit and inspection
L&P – Labeling and Packaging; Compliance and Regulations management for consumer products
Facilitate and secure approved Local Production Speed Lab or Quick Turn initiatives with network of local suppliers or factory agents with support from Sourcing Manager or Production coordinators.
Support as LO (liaison) Canada office within adidas Global Sourcing network. Build and foster relationships with all relative sourcing and production personnel, internal and overseas, and with approved supplier base.
Local travel is often required in this role to perform required audit and inspection responsibilities or travel out of country in order to represent or attend global / sourcing & production related meetings.
Link into any Supply Chain Group or Supply Planning initiatives, Projects, work-streams as guided by the Sourcing Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of production, development, fashion and manufacturing
Strong understanding- technical and tactical; of sourcing & production supply models, capacity, forecasting and all related manufacturing terminology
Knowledge of product costing, raw/material/trim construction and related testing
Effective communication and negotiation skills
Advanced IT skills (MS Office) and ability to work with any Product or Supply Data Management systems
Team player with proven ability to work cross functionally with brand leadership to produce consumer products
Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
• University or Business Degree and/or Community College graduate
• 4 – 8 years garment / textile Sourcing, Development &/or Production related work experience
