Specific Responsibilities
The Director of Visual Merchandising will interpret creative and visual trends and product stories that align with business objectives and brand vision.
Strategy & Innovation
• Lead the creation of innovative in-store presentations that support key seasonal objectives.
• Establish strategies for in-store product placement and communicate those strategies to our overseas distributors.
Operations & Results
• Direct the development and execution of floor concepts, visual standards, and other communication to the visual teams of our overseas distributors.
• Collect and analyze necessary data to determine store re-design needs.
• Coordinate with key stakeholders timelines and resources needed for rollout of all new fixture design initiatives or events.
Customers & Relationships
• Regularly communicate and collaborate with our overseas visual teams to ensure visual standards are consistent throughout the chain.
• Collaborate with our overseas distributors on store fixture layout, design, new store fixture packages and installation to meet merchandising needs. This includes all floor and table top fixtures, furnishings, graphics, and seasonal décor.
Skills and Requirements
• 8-10 year plus in managing corporate visual merchandising initiatives in the apparel category.
• Experience leading visual merchandising globally.
• Bachelor’s degree in visual merchandising or fine arts preferred.
• Deep knowledge of store design, branding and presentation strategies/concepts; understanding of how each affects the customer experience.
• Technical requirements: Illustrator, Adobe creative suite, Sketchup, Rhino or other 3-D rendering programs. Workable knowledge of InDesign or other layout programs for directive based communication.
