Global Trade Marketing Director - OPI
OPI / A division of COTY Professional Beauty (Presently North Hollywood, CA / Relocating to Calabasas, CA Sept 2017)
Job Summary:
As part of the global team, this role will be responsible to lead the global Trade Marketing Design & Delivery and Sales strategies. The job is an end to end role starting from the early design phase of initiatives or base business programs where we are seeking an individual who will give commercial input and develop tools to bring valuable propositions to markets, transforming these programs into strong plans at execution stage in order to grow share globally. This role will have to work with multiple functions from the design teams (Marketing, Trade Marketing, R&D, Education, PS, Finance) to commercial teams (Affiliates, Global Distributors, Travel retail). This role will have a team reporting to you and will be responsible for your Brand for all relevant Markets, Regions, Channels and Divisions. Your responsibility will include all areas of business development opportunities. This role is based in LA.
Essential Functions:
• With Marketing, develop a winning and profitable model for your franchise in line with Portfolio/Category vision. You will be responsible to define growth glide path, margin expectation, specific innovation support and winning GTM. In addition, this role will lead Distribution, Promotion and Pricing strategies for the brands..
• Be the voice of customers and market key point of contact from design stage to in market exploitation stages and envision the future. This role will drive and create strong and unique brand programs and lead deployment process.
• Lead business Operation planning, analysis and tracking and business optimization. This role will identify business opportunities and drive key plans with regional teams.
RequiredQualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Communications, Business or related discipline)
• 6-8 years’ experience in Category, Products and Consumer segmentation
• 5+ years of people management experience
• Commercial or relevant Trade Marketing background
• Experience with the development of the shelving and merchandising strategy
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (Fluent in English)
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook…)
• Other Core Skills: Strategic thinking, Leadership skills, Communication, Capacity, Risk Taking
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Travel at the minimum of 20 %
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree (Marketing, Communications, Business or related discipline)
• Professional beauty industry experience
Work Environment:
• Work will be conducted in a standard office environment with associated distractions such as noise from telephones, keyboards, talking, paging systems, machinery and equipment. Temperatures are regulated by facilities management and are not within the direct control of the individual. Exposure to standard chemicals used in an office environment is expected and includes but is not limited to toner, glue and liquid paper, etc.
