Purpose and Scope: To maximize sales productivity through nurturing and developing strong business partnerships with Wholesale Account Partners and Account Executives, while managing a strong, motivated, and business- focused Brand Manager team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Improve Wholesale Profitability
◦ Drive retail performance
◦ Execution of Store Staffing excellence- quantitative/ qualitative
# Quarterly recap to review results.
◦ Communication with Account Sr. Management and Sales Teams
◦ Execution of Ralph Lauren standards- #1 location and expected presentation standards.
• Coaching/ Training/ People Development
◦ Responsible to recruit hire, coach and manage a strong & professional Brand Manager Team.
◦ Provide ongoing hands-on training of the follow:
# Clear delivery of department goals & expectations.
# Driving your business while looking for opportunities,
# Planning your floor and floor moves & merchandising impactful presentations to drive sales.
# Communication- immediate and concise
# Seminars are executed fully by team.
◦ Merchandising
# Excellent merchandising skills; Ability to react to business needs and trends quickly, and provide direction to their teams.
# Creative thinking and strong visual sensibilities to support execution excellence.
◦ Communication
# Individual monthly/ quarterly visits with each Brand Manager
# Bi-weekly group conference calls (Sales owned) with all Accounts, to include Buyers, Asst. Buyer, Planner, account Executive, and Brand Managers.
# Current business performance
# Product deliveries and markdown strategies
# Monthly (or impromptu) RVP, RMM, District Mgr meetings to address opportunities and issues.
# Strategic quarterly/ seasonal RVP meetings to review opportunities/ season strategies.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years in retail management
• Powerful at building and maintaining strong partnerships
• Exceptional managerial and motivational skills.
• Strong merchandising skills and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Strong computer knowledge.
